OAM 18.104.22.168.200327 includes a new feature called the "OAM Snapshot Tool". This tool provides tooling to create a snapshot of the Oracle Access Management (OAM) Identity Management (IDM) Domain with all its configurations, persist it, and use it for creating fully functional OAM IDM Domain clones.
The snapshot tool can backups of your entire OAM configuration so that it can be restored in case of a server or data-center crash. It also creates backups to facilitate moving the OAM domain to a different infrastructure, leaving the OAM schemas in the same database. Alternatively, you can move both the OAM domain and the database schemas to a different infrastructure.
This note documents the current (Apr 2020) known problems and limitations using the OAM Snapshot Tool as well as provided replacement scripts that address some of these issues.
