Symptoms

Unable to Login to WebCenter Sites: "com.fatwire.wem.sso.cas.plugin.CSAuthenticationHandler failed to authenticate the user which provided the following credentials: [username: {username}]"

The following error is seen in the Sites application server's out log when attempting to login:

 hostname for WebCenter Sites had been changed
