From Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) Studio topology > Physical Architecture > Technologies > XML

The error below occurs when clicking the 'Test Connection' button after trying to configure the JDBC properties of a XML dataserver:

oracle.odi.runtime.agent.invocation.InvocationException: oracle.odi.core.exception.OdiRuntimeException: java.sql.SQLException: ODI-40730: Standalone schema type is not compatible with external database storage

Observe the error happens regardless of the type of agent (Standalone, J2EE or Local) selected when testing the connection
