OUD11g/12c - Is it Possible to Configure OUD Proxy to Add a Page Size / Paged Search to Avoid Timeouts When the Client or Application Search Query Does Not Include it? (Doc ID 2669027.1)

Last updated on JANUARY 18, 2024

Applies to:

Oracle Unified Directory - Version 11.1.1.5.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

Clients accessing Oracle Unifed Directory (OUD) proxy using a search query that does not include a paged search option or parameter. The query returns large results and cannot be completed between the OUD proxy and back end ldap directory within the time out configured in the backend ldap server without using paged results. Therefore the searches fail with timeout errors.

Is there a way to configure the OUD proxy server to add or include a paged search into the client request, if it was not originally included from the client itself?

This was a capability of Oracle Virtual Directory / OVD by setting "proxied page size" parameter in the OVD ldap adapter, but this functionality seems missing in OUD proxy.
