Java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: Oracle/xml/binxml/BinXMLException After Upgrading to JDBC 19c (Doc ID 2672446.1)

Symptoms

After upgrading the JDBC drivers from 11g to 19c while Oracle database remained Oracle 11g (11.2.4.0).the following exception is received:

java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: oracle/xml/binxml/BinXMLException
....
Caused by: java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: oracle/xml/binxml/BinXMLMetadataProvider
       at oracle.jdbc.driver.NamedTypeAccessor$XMLFactory.createXML(NamedTypeAccessor.java:117)
       at oracle.jdbc.driver.NamedTypeAccessor.getOracleObject(NamedTypeAccessor.java:236)
       at oracle.jdbc.driver.NamedTypeAccessor.getString(NamedTypeAccessor.java:350)
       at oracle.jdbc.driver.GeneratedStatement.getString(GeneratedStatement.java:289)
       at oracle.jdbc.driver.GeneratedScrollableResultSet.getString(GeneratedScrollableResultSet.java:376)
       at oracle.jdbc.driver.GeneratedResultSet.getString(GeneratedResultSet.java:596)



Changes

 Upgrade from JDBC 11g to 19c.
