Last updated on MAY 27, 2020
Applies to:
Oracle Unified Directory - Version 12.2.1.3.191219.0108 and laterInformation in this document applies to any platform.
Symptoms
OUD servers are configured in DNS with a cryptic hostname, and a friendly hostname setup as a C-NAME record.
After configuring the OUD Allowed Clients to use this friendly hostname, the OUD instance does not allow the connection.
OUD will only allow the connection if the actual (cryptic) hostname or IP address is configured as the "Allowed Host."
