Symptoms

Error Attempting to Upgrade Lucene Indexes: " java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: This tool was invoked to not delete prior commit points"

When attempting to upgrade the lucene indexes to 5.5.5 as per Doc ID 2604831.1, we receive the following error:


find $LUCENEPATH -mindepth 1 -type d -exec java -cp lucene-core-5.5.5.jar:lucene-backward-codecs-5.5.5.jar
org.apache.lucene.index.IndexUpgrader {} \;

Changes

 Upgraded from 12.2.1.2.0 to 12.2.1.4.0
