ODI 12c Mapping Creates Query with Attributes in Unexpected Order (Doc ID 2677642.1)

Last updated on SEPTEMBER 12, 2023

Applies to:

Oracle Data Integrator - Version 12.2.1.4.0 and later
Oracle Data Integrator on Marketplace - Version 12.2.1.4.200123 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

When executing an Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) mapping between a source table with columns arranged in a different order than the target table columns, the query is not written as expected. For example, if the last column in source table mapped to first column in target table, this results in a query that is written as the first column in source table mapped to first column in target table. This causes incorrect data to be written to the target.
