Last updated on MAY 09, 2024

Applies to:

Java SE JDK and JRE - Version 8 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Part of setting up Java Advanced Management Console (AMC) requires the installation and configuration of the AMC agent on each client machine. This AMC agent runs as a service and looks for installed Java Runtime Environments (JREs). It then enables and automatically configures Java Usage Tracker. In an enterprise environment with many client machines, manually downloading and installing the agent from the AMC console to each machine is time consuming. This document provides the steps to install the AMC agent to multiple Windows base client machines. Using these manual steps as a template, you can translate them into scripts for automation. The procedure will be similar for client machine running macOS operating system.
