Oracle Fusion Middleware - Version 9.0.4.0.0 to 10.1.2.3.0 [Release AS10g to AS10gR2]
Information in this document applies to any platform.
.

Goal

When deploying an application using Forms 9.x or 10.x, for every type of navigation / movement from one field to another, key press, etc session information is written to :

$ORACLE_HOME/j2ee/OC4J_BI_Forms/log/OC4J_BI_Forms_default_island_1/default-web-
access.log.

Example extract below:

##.#.#.# - - [02/Apr/2004:14:48:14 +0100] "POST
/forms90/l90servlet;jsessionid=<jsession_id> HTTP/1.1" 200 2

Consequently this log file can quickly grow very large in size, which consumes disk space and can eventually have an impact on performance.

How to prevent or stop this forms session information being logged to the OC4J_BI_Forms default-web-access.log?
