Sign In Page not Working After Incorrect Attempt (Doc ID 2682239.1)

Symptoms

After customizing the "Sign In" page, when users enter wrong credentials an error is displayed.  If new credentials are entered, the "Sign In" button does not work and the user can not proceed.

STEPS:

1. Click on "Customize" on "Sign In" system page for look and feel as per below document:

2. Make following changes:
Hide panelGroupLayout: vertical
Hide panelGroupLayout: vertical
Add Box
Add LoginTaskflow
Save

3. Now enter wrong credentials first. This error is displayed:

"User name and password do not match."

Now enter the credentials again and notice the "Sign In" button does not work (it will not submit the credentials).
