Introduction

Oracle Enterprise Single Sign-On Suite Plus 11g R2 PS3 Bundle Patch 2 (11.1.2.3.2) has been released to My Oracle Support (MOS) and is now available as a Patch download (Patch# 31071051) from the Patches & Updates tab. This is the newest release for the Oracle Enterprise Single Sign-On Suite and it contains cumulative fixes from the 11.1.2.3.0 Base Release and the previous BP1 11.1.2.3.1 patch as well as some new enhancements required to support recent changes to the various web browser technologies.

The ESSO Suite Plus 11.1.2.3.2 Bundle Patch is available from the Patches & Updates tab in My Oracle Support as Patch number 31071051. 

Before You Install

To help ensure a satisfactory installation:

  1. Review the hardware and software requirements listed in the Oracle Enterprise Single Sign-on Suite Plus 11.1.2.3.0 Release Notes, available in the Oracle online documentation center.

  2. Review the readme.html entirely.

  3. If this is an upgrade installation, back up all data. Oracle strongly recommends that you back up data prior to the installation of any software. Refer to “Upgrade Installation” below.

  4. Close all Oracle software.

Performing the Installation

  1. Open p31071051_111232_Generic.zip.

  2. Extract the installer files for the products that you want to update.

·   ESSO LOGON MANAGER 11.1.2.3.2

·  ESSO-LM Administrative Console.msi

·  ESSO-LM.x86.msi

·  ESSO-LM.x64.msi

·  ESSO PASSWORD RESET 11.1.2.3.2

·  ESSO-PR Server.msi

·  pr_client_only_x64.mst

·  pr_client_only_x86.mst

 

3.    Keep in mind the following:

·   Oracle recommends that you install the patches for all product components whenever you install a patch for any product. For example, if you are updating the product ESSO-LM, install both the ESSO-LM Administrative Console and the ESSO-LM Agent components.

·   The 64-bit component installers include "x64" at the end of the installer file name, while the 32-bit installers contain no special designation.

            

4.    Launch the desired installers and follow the onscreen instructions. Refer to the products' respective installation guides for detailed instructions.

 

Upgrade Installation 

  1. Go to a computer that has the previous version of the ESSO Administrative Console and the Logon Manager client installed.

  2. Open the ESSO Administrative Console.

  3. Right Click on Global Agent Settings.

  4. Select Import ---> From Live HKLM.

  5. Right Click on Live.

  6. Select Export and choose a file format.

  7. Enter a name for the exported file and select a location to save the file.

  8. Install the new ESSO Administrative Console 11.1.2.3.2.

  9. After the installation is completed, open the new version of ESSO Administrative Console 11.1.2.3.2.

  10. Right Click on Global Agent Settings.

  11. Select Import ---> From File.

  12. Navigate to the folder where the export file was saved in Step 7.

  13. Select the file and click OK.

  14. Confirm that the newly imported settings are the same from the previous version.

  15. Install the new ESSO Logon Manager Client 11.1.2.3.2. (Do not reboot after the installation is completed).

  16. In the ESSO Administrative Console, Right Click on Live and select Write to Live HKLM to update the new installation with the configuration settings.

  17. Reboot the workstation and verify that the new upgraded ESSO Logon Manager Client 11.1.2.3.2 is working correctly.

  18. Create a new custom MSI in the ESSO Administrative Console to install the new ESSO 11.1.2.3.2 client on the remaining workstations.

 

Uninstalling this Bundle Patch

To uninstall this bundle patch, you must uninstall the individual component(s), following the standard procedure for uninstalling Windows software. For more information, refer to the installation guide for the appropriate product.
