Exalogic: Error while running prePatchCheck on Compute Node - 'File /etc/system-fips is missing, Please fix prior to applying the PSU' (Doc ID 2684383.1)

Symptoms

In Exalogic, while running prePatchCheck against a compute node, the exapatch logs could contain the following error

This error could be seen for all the Exalogic compute nodes.  But, most likely this error might be seen only in compute node 01.

 

Changes

If customer had experienced Exalogic control stack ExaBR backup issue, as described in Doc ID 2478353.1, as one of the solutions, they might have removed the file '/etc/system-fips' from CN01.
