Symptoms

When attempting to run the upgrade assistant for FMW, the following error occurs:

UPGAST-00107: The DISPLAY environment variable is not set. The graphical user interface (GUI) requires that this environment variable be set on UNIX.
The command failed to complete successfully

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

1. Execute ./ua from Oracle_Home/oracle_common/upgrade/bin.
2. Receive the error indicated.
