IDCS Connector is not Reusing Existing Connections during SCIM Operations Leading to Slowness in the Attribute Updates (Doc ID 2686503.1)

Last updated on JULY 06, 2020

Applies to:

Identity Manager Connector - Version 12.2.1.3.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

For each connector operation, the connector creates a new connection with an access token as a part of the connector initialization using init() method and removes the connection as a part of dispose() method, as the Generic SCIM is not implemented as a poolable connector.

This can be seen from the below logs for a single operation how the connection is initialized and disposed.

Due to this, the connections are not reused eventhough they are still valid. Hence, this would result in perfomance issues with respect to connector operations as it would take more time to initialize, generate auth token and dispose for each of its operation.

Note :The IDCS connector package uses the Generic SCIM bundles to interact with the IDCS target which are SCIM compliant.
