Symptoms

WebLogic 10.3.6.0 unable to initiate SSL communication over TLSv1.2 Using JavaMail API despite JDK 1.7.0_261.

Oracle WebCenter Enterprise Capture 11.1.1.9.0 is being used on top of WebLogic 10.3.6.0. in this use case which uses JavaMail shipped with the default installation of WebLogic.

Following observed in standard out of the WebLogic server after enabling JSSE debug (-Djavax.net.debug=all).

Changes

 The other end in the SSL communication upgraded to TLSv1.2 from TLSv1.
