How To Retrieve WebCenter Content: Imaging Documents By Invoice Number using an API Call (Doc ID 2695798.1)

Goal

A goal is to:

1) Load multiple invoice images into WebCenter Content: Imaging using the Input Agent input file. The Imaging application will have Invoice_id filed populated from the file.

2) Link Payables invoice records in E-Business Suite to the images loaded in step 1 using invoice_id. This is similar to Oracle's AXF solution logic.

What are options to achieve and implement step 2 without using AXF?
