ACTUAL BEHAVIOR

The new ESSO web extension for the Edge Chromium web browser is not automatically installed in Edge Chromium after upgrading to ESSO Logon Manager 11.1.2.3.2. 

The following registry key exists and confirms that support for the new Edge Chromium web browser is installed as part of the upgrade installation to ESSO-LM 11.1.2.3.2:



EXPECTED BEHAVIOR

New Chromium based Edge Extension for Oracle ESSO LM 11.1.2.3.2 and higher is installed automatically in the Edge Chromium browser

STEPS TO REPRODUCE

  1. Install ESSO Logon Manager 11.1.2.3.2 or higher with new Edge Chromium support.
  2. Open the Microsoft Edge Chromium web browser.
  3. Enter the URL edge://extensions in the address bar.
  4. Check for the ESSO Web extension in the list of installed extensions.



BUSINESS IMPACT
Due to this issue, users cannot use ESSO-LM to authenticate with web applications in the Edge Chromium web browser.
