Last updated on SEPTEMBER 09, 2024
Applies to:
Oracle Tuxedo - Version 12.2.2 and laterInformation in this document applies to any platform.
Goal
When the Tuxedo server is unavailable, then Jolt Client still try the connection to the tuxedo server and takes a long time, the issue may happen in two scenarios:
- Tuxedo server on the same subnet. In this case, packets will be sent to the peer host directly, will not go through the router. In case the Tuxedo server is down, the timeout will reach very quickly in about 1 to 3 seconds.this is a tolerable duration for the user.
- Tuxedo server on a different subnet. In this case, packets will be sent to the router first. In case the Tuxedo server is down, it will take a long time to reach timeout. Could be a few minutes.
