Information in this document applies to any platform.

After applying the latest patches for WebCenter Imaging, launching of Advance Viewer in any browser is not working.  The Image does not render and all the annotation buttons are not available.  There are no errors in the client or diagnostic log file.

Only users with Java JRE 1.8.0_261 installed had the issue.  Users with other JRE version did not have the issue.

The Java console output during Advance Viewer launch shows the following:

WARNING: the jnlp file is invalid and will be blocked in a future release.

Beginning in January 2019, Imaging is under Extended Support. It is recommended that you upgrade to 12c.

The Error Correction Policy is within Document 209768.1.  Within this document is "Click here to view the Fusion Middleware Policy".  Clicking this link will take you to the FMW Error Correction Policy document. See "7.2 Policies – Critical Patch Update Program". This states:

"Patches released as part of the CPU program (e.g. PSUs, SPUs, bundle patches, or point-in-time snapshot patches) follow the same rules for patching support as other patches do. They are created for the current releases or patch set releases and the previous versions (if any) for the duration of the grace period.

Only customers who have contracted for Extended Support are entitled to download and use proactive patches created for a product in Extended Support."
