How To Convert Between Unix Format Text File and DOS Format for ODI Processing (Doc ID 2712074.1)

Last updated on SEPTEMBER 23, 2020

Applies to:

Oracle Data Integrator - Version 11.1.1.7.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

When multiple upstream and downstream systems are used, a text file may be generated by a Unix-style program which gets copied to a Windows-based system to be further used as a model in Oracle Data Integrator (ODI).

This could result in an issue during file processing, especially during reverse engineering. This is due to, for example, the text file in a Unix-style format, but a MS-DOS Record Separator is specified in the File Data Sore (or vise-versa).
