Double Clicking on LOV Causes Two Popups To Show Up And Cannot Be Dismissed After Upgrade To ADF 12.2.1.4 (Doc ID 2713631.1)

Symptoms

After upgrading an existing ADF application from 12.2.1.1 to 12.2.1.4, it is found that when double click is performed on an LOV to open the search and select popup, intermittently, two popups open and they can no longer be dismissed. Hence, the page gets stuck.
In 12.2.1.1 only one LOV popup is shown and the application works fine.

The issue is intermittently reproducible in Firefox.
