Symptoms

Invalid credentials error when password is included in the command -

<ODSEE_INSTALL_ROOT>/dsrk/bin/ldapsearch -h <HOSTNAME> -D "cn=<DS_ADMIN>" -w <PASSWORD> -b "<BASE_DN>" cn=<PROXY_AGENT> modifyTimestamp pwdChangedTime
ldap_simple_bind: Invalid credentials

No error when password is entered manually (specifying a -w - in the ldapsearch command)

<ODSEE_INSTALL_ROOT>/dsrk/bin/ldapsearch -h <HOSTNAME> -D "cn=<DS_ADMIN>" -w - -b "<BASE_DN>" cn=<PROXY_AGENT> modifyTimestamp pwdChangedTime

Enter bind password:
version: 1
dn: cn=<PROXY_AGENT>,<BASE_DN>
modifyTimestamp: 20200921034618Z
