Oracle Access Manager SSO Link Token Session Response not Available When Setting SAML Assertion Attributes (Doc ID 2716743.1)

Symptoms

In OAM 12.2.1.3 or later with fix 29541818 applied, which allows the Session Linking Token to be set as a session or other authentication/authorization response, OAM is unable to set a federation assertion attribute from the authentication response. For example an IdP assertion attribute TestSSOLink is set to $session.attr.<OAuth Identity Domain>.ssolinktok we see the following in the assertion generated:
