"The Network Adapter could not establish the connection" Intermittent Closed Connection From Weblogic Application to DB Server (Doc ID 2716830.1)

Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

Intermittent closed connection from application(WebLogic) and DB server.   Most of applications can work normally and only part of applications impacted.

Some Data Source changed to "Suspend" status when exception occurred. But ping to database server and telnet to database server work normally on WebLogic machine.  It is confirmed that DB server still keep "running".
