ESSO 11.1.2.3.2 Not Working With An Application in Internet Explorer For Some Users (Doc ID 2717482.1)

Symptoms

A user that was recently upgraded to ESSO-LM 11.1.2.3.2, is no longer able to authenticate to an application with the ESSO Logon Manager. The Logon Manager client successfully recognizes the application and injects the user's credentials into the logon form The logon fails with an error message ."Invalid username/password".

The user can login to the application by manually entering the same credentials. The user re-entered the credentials into the ESSO Logon Manager client but was again denied authentication with the same error.

The user did not experience the issue in ESSO Logon Manager 11.1.2.3.1 prior to the upgrade to 11.1.2.3.2.

 

STEPS TO REPRODUCE

  1. Upgrade ESSO Logon Manager to 11.1.2.3.2
  2. Open the target application on the Windows desktop.
  3. ESSO Logon Manager injects the user's credentials into the application logon form.
  4. Authentication fails with error "Invalid username/password"



BUSINESS IMPACT
Due to this issue, users cannot logon to an application with ESSO Logon Manager 11.1.2.3.2.
