DB2 for z/OS - when using ddl_update.sh, it fails with OGGIFI00.UPDATE_MERGE". SQLSTATE=53099 (Doc ID 2718071.1)

Symptoms

When trying to execute ddl_update.sh for updating GGS_DDL_HIST table( while doing the upgrade from 19.1.0.0.4 to 19.1.0.0.200414), it was failing

./ddl_update.sh -d <DB Alias name> -u <userid> -p xxx -s OGGIFI00 -t GGS_DDL_HIST

Using db2 command to process SQL

DB21034E The command was processed as an SQL statement because it was not a

valid Command Line Processor command. During SQL processing it returned:

SQL0969N There is no message text corresponding to SQL error "-20100" in the

message file on this workstation. The error was returned from module

"DSNXOSTP" with original tokens "2 -440 42884 PROCEDURE,

OGGIFI00.UPDATE_MERGE". SQLSTATE=56059
