Oracle HTTP Server Request Fails with "(104)Connection reset by peer: proxy: prefetch request body failed to" (Doc ID 2718852.1)

Symptoms

Oracle HTTP Server (OHS) is being used to proxy requests to other/remote servers. Intermittently, OHS will see failures sighting connections are being reset. OHS logs the response codes as 400 errors. SSL is enabled to the backend but OHS is receiving HTTP.

The following is seen via OHS trace logging (<COMPONENT_NAME>.log).

Changes

 No known changes. Issue was likely present since it was deployed but found during load testing.
