ODI Java EE Agent Creating Excessive Connections to the Repository Database (Doc ID 2720455.1)

Last updated on JULY 30, 2024

Applies to:

Oracle Data Integrator - Version 12.2.1.3.0 and later
Oracle Data Integrator on Marketplace - Version 12.2.1.4.200123 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

After starting the Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) 12.2.1.x Java EE agent, it is observed that an excessive number of connections are created to the on-premise or Database Cloud Service (DBCS) database instance where the ODI repository is located. The ODI Java EE agent does not close the connections and this causes the database reach the maximum session number allowed. At that point, no further connections can be made.
