Provisioning OIM UDF Date Field To OUD Fails With SSO (Doc ID 2721977.1)

Symptoms

If you create a custom UDF date field and attempt to create or modify an OIM User then the update of the date attribute will fail on the LDAP Identity Store (ex: OUD)

The following errors are possible depending on how exactly you added the UDF date field and if you are tying to create or modify an OIM User:

Entry "<LDAP_DN>" contains a value "yyyy-mm-dd HH:MM:SS.0" for attribute <LDAP_ATTRIBUTE> that is invalid according to the syntax for that attribute:  The provided value "yyyy-mm-dd HH:MM:SS.0" is not a valid generalized time value because "-1" is not a valid month specification

 

Exception Occurred while creating : Malformed '<LDAP_ATTRIBUTE>' attribute value

 

Cannot modify attributes, Error Occurred : [LDAP: error code 21 - When attempting to modify entry <LDAP_DN> to replace the set of values for attribute <LDAP_ATTRIBUTE>, value "yyyy-mm-dd" was found to be invalid according to the associated syntax:  The provided value "yyyy-mm-dd" is too short to be a valid generalized time value
