401 Error when ADF application security was enabled with SSO and OAM (Doc ID 2726129.1)

Symptoms


After enabling ADF security in an ADF application, the application was deployed to weblogic server 12.2.1.3.
Then SSO was enabled to integrate this ADF application with OAM security following the steps mentioned in this document:
When trying to login from the ADF application, the following error was generated:
