SOA Server logging a lot of messages on server shutdown

Symptoms
When the WLS server goes down, the logs get flooded with the following error:
javax.resource.ResourceException: javax.transaction.SystemException: The server is being suspended or shut down. Cannot begin new transactions.
There are several message per second, so the logs get quickly flooded with these message ending up in 1Gb stdout and overwriting all relevant logs on the diagnostics log
