Last updated on NOVEMBER 14, 2022

Applies to:

Linux x86-64
Oracle Virtual Server x86-64

Symptoms

In Exalogic Virtual racks (both 2.0.6.3.X & 2.0.6.4.X), in some cases we may see issues of Guest vServers and Control vServers Infiniband networks not working after reboot. When the issue happens both EoIB and IPoIB networks do not work.

When the issue happens, All IPoIB interfaces in vServer are not initialized and all NFS mounts based on IPoIB addresses does not get mounted and show up when running "df" command. Also ping to any of the Infiniband networks of the affected Guest vServers does not work. In some cases we notice kernel panic with below traces in xm console when rebooting the affected Guest vServer.
