Symptoms

An application is reporting the next error while connecting to the database:

A SQL exception has occurred. The SQL error code is '0'. The SQL state is: The error message is: |[CDC][Oracle JDBC Driver]Login has timed out. java.sql.SQLException [CDC][Oracle JDBC Driver]Login has timed out.|

 

The database alert log shows:

Fatal NI connect error 12537, connecting to:
 (LOCAL=NO) VERSION INFORMATION:
 TNS for Linux: Version 12.1.0.2.0 - Production
