When Using a Custom User Interface, the Imaging Basic Viewer Displays the First Document Regardless of Subsequent Links Clicked (Doc ID 2730330.1)

Last updated on MAY 06, 2024

Applies to:

Oracle WebCenter Content: Imaging - Version 12.2.1.4.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

In a custom user interface, clicking on the first document hyperlink brings up the WebCenter Content: Imaging Basic Viewer with the the first document displayed correctly.  However, when a different link is clicked to open a second document, the first document displays again.  All of the documents from that page, despite different URL's being passed, are bringing up the first document opened.

This same problem was seen after applying Patch 30902163 in 12.2.1.3.  After rolling back that patch, the problem went away.  However, the problem has reappeared after installing 12.2.1.4.

The form of their hyperlink directly invokes the Imaging Viewer as follows:
https://<IPM_server>.com/imaging/faces/Pages/Viewer.jspx?documentId=1.IPM_234567

When the user clears the browser cache, the Viewer displays a different document but now secondary documents all bring up that same document again.

The same thing happens in both Chrome and Edge browsers also.

Using the Imaging user interface directly, the documents come up as expected.  Also opened documents from the Content Server as expected.

Changes

Install Patch 30902163 on 12.2.1.3, or install 12.2.1.4.
