Symptoms

The application ear file has been built using Java 1.8 and WebLogic 12.2.1.X.
When attempting to deploy the ear file in WebLogic 12c, result in the following error (which does not occur in the 10.3 environments):

Deployment State: failed

 After migrating the Java application that uses EJB 3.0 from a WebLogic 10.3 environment to WebLogic 12c.
