Symptoms

A Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) mapping uses a knowledge module that calls the odiRef.getColList() method to create an external table that loads the target. The method retrieves the columns from the source used in the table creation SQL.

Another mapping uses a copy of the model. Simulation and comparison of the two mappings show that the returned column order from the method is not as expected, and they do not match. It is observed that columns that do not have a length specified in the model are being added at the end of the results.

Since the external table is created with the unexpected column order, the load fails.

This occurs even after applying Patch 32136253, Patch 31188271, and Patch 31379932.
