<source-path> Not Getting Updated For OSB Bundled Applications After Domain Upgrade From 12.2.1.x To 12.2.1.4 (Doc ID 2733073.1)

Symptoms

Same with other Fusion Middleware products OSB includes bundled applications under its ORACLE_HOME directory. Some reside under ORACLE_HOME/osb/lib and some reside under ORACLE_HOME/oracle_common/modules directories. The domain config.xml file has the actual <source-path> for the bundled applications.

After domain upgrade to 12.2.1.4 it is expected that the <source-path> for the default OSB deployments automatically gets updated to point to the 12.2.1.4 ORACLE_HOME. However that didn't happen and the <source-path> still points to the old ORACLE_HOME.

And also, during the domain upgrade using reconfiguration wizard (reconfig.sh) once can see error "Custom Applications were left in the original MW home and must be fixed manually" showing up at the bottom of the page after specifying the domain location to upgrade.
