APEX MAIL HTML Body Contains Lines Ending in LF and Not CRLF (Doc ID 2733927.1)

Last updated on SEPTEMBER 10, 2021

Applies to:

Oracle Application Express (APEX) - Version 18.1.0.00.45 to 21.1.1
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

When email content is created using APEX_MAIL.SEND (with template) and APEX_MAIL.PREPARE_TEMPLATE, the html body contains lines ending in LF and not CRLF.

This is not compliant with RFC 2822 which specifies lines should end in CRLF.

The lines with the problem appear to be those input into the template by the user and not the html generated for the header/footer etc.

Some e-mail servers are rejecting the e-mails having lines ending in LF and not CRLF.
