Goal
How to create a Database Connection from JDeveloper to a SQL Server on Azure?
IMPORTANT
While Microsoft SQL Server is certified to work with JDeveloper and ADF, at this moment the SQL Server on Azure is not.
Support for SQL Server on Azure is limited. Check the "Other database" notes in Databases section of the Certification matrix for details.
Information and steps here are provided for easy reference. Help and support for Azure and Microsoft's JDBC driver should be provided by Microsoft.
