Exalogic Virtual: coraenv, dbhome, oraenv Files Missing After Migrating EC Control vServer From OL5 To OL6 (Doc ID 2737672.1)

Last updated on NOVEMBER 14, 2022

Applies to:

Oracle Exalogic Elastic Cloud Software - Version 2.0.6.3.201020 to 2.0.6.3.201020
Linux x86-64
Oracle Virtual Server x86-64

Symptoms

In Exalogic Virtual racks, Issue of coraenv, dbhome, oraenv files missing under /usr/local/bin/ directory on EC Control vServer is noticed. Issue happens after migrating EC Control vServer from OL5 to OL6 as part of October 2020 PSU upgrade or during TLS 1.2 upgrade.

There is no functional impact due to coraenv, dbhome, oraenv files missing under /usr/local/bin/ directory on EC Control vServer. The only impact will be not able to connect to Control DB via CLI prompt as environment variables will be missing (which are defined in coraenv, dbhome, oraenv files). To workaround this issue environment variables can be explicitly set by running export command to export ORACLE_HOME and ORACLE_SID variables.

Changes

EC Control vServer migration from OL5 to OL6 as part of October 2020 PSU upgrade or during TLS 1.2 upgrade.
