Downloading PDF Files from WebCenter Portal on Android App Using WebView Returns: Cannot display PDF (PDF name is of invalid format) (Doc ID 2740860.1)

Symptoms


When attempting to download pdf files from WebCenter Portal on the Android App using WebView returns the below error:


ERROR

Cannot display PDF (PDF name.pdf is of invalid format)



STEPS

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. Open WebCenter Portal page from Android App using WebView.
     
  2. Download a pdf file.
    Here you will see the error.
     
  3. Access a non WebCenter page from Android App using WebView.
    Download a pdf file via static link.

  4. You will see the PDF file downloads completely fine on Android App.
