The attached PDF document lists the bug numbers and headlines/subjects of bugs fixed in the 8.5.5 Bundle Patch 3 (8.5.5.15) released in January 2021. Please be aware the bug numbers included in this list are the original/base bug numbers. If users are searching for a patch number in this list and it is not found, they will need the corresponding original bug number.

Actions

The patch can be downloaded from My Oracle Support Portal (MOS).  For the direct link to the patch, use 8.5.5.15 (Patch 32303325).

From the Release dropdown , select respective OIT SDK on which you want to apply 8.5.5 BP3 and click on Download.

 

The read-me file has references to certain bugs & ERs which has mandatory 'post-installation instructions' or 'Notes'. So in order to take benefit of those ERs/bugs , make sure that you follow the mentioned post-installation instructions or Notes for those specific cases. For any queries, please feel free to reach out to Oracle Support. 

 

NOTE 1: 
- In Outside In Technology 8.5.5 Bundle Patch #3 - January 2021 release, internal Database has been changed to Berkeley DB. Current binaries of Berkeley DB depends on SSL libraries. So in order to run OIT applications, underlying OS should have native SSL support. According to Berkeley DB Support Document, You must use OpenSSL-library versions greater than or equal to 1.0.1 that includes thread support.

OIT Users can download and install OpenSSL Library version greater than or equal to 1.0.1 from OS Vendor sites.

- Windows does not have any dependency on OpenSSL.

- From next BP, OpenSSL dependencies will be removed.

 

  NOTE 2 : From 8.5.5 BP3, below SDK's are certified on "IBM: Linux on System z S390-64(64‐bit)" OS.

                                    Content Access , Image Export , Search Export , XML Export

 

  NOTE 3: In 8.5.5 BP3, Content Access and Search Export SDK's are available for Linux ARM 64 bit OS.
                          These are given for testing and NOT for production use.
