Doc 32250993 - Manual addition of <hostname> in $domain_home/config/config.xml

Actions

When a new Oracle Internet Directory (OID) instance is being created with an alias, then the following modification needs to be performed manually:

1. Back up the existing  $DOMAIN_HOME/config/config.xml file.

2. Add host='Fully qualified hostname' in $DOMAIN_HOME/config/config.xml  as below:

<system-component>
    <name>instance name</name>
    <host>host name</host>
    <machine>machine name</machine>
    <component-type>OID</component-type>
</system-component>

3. Stop/Start the instance
