Symptoms

On : 12c versions

An ldapsearch on a user-defined attribute is shown with ";binary"

Servers are giving different results when searching for the user-defined attribute ie: QandAflag. Servers are having same scheme but one server showing the result with word ' binary' when queried.

 
STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

$ ./ldapsearch -h <LOCAL_HOSTNAME> -p <LDAP_PORT> -D "cn=DS_ADIM" -w - <PASSWORD>-b dc=<SUFFIX_DN>dc=com uid=<USER_1>
Password for user "DS_ADMIN>:
dn: uid=<USER_1>

$ ./ldapsearch -h <LOCAL_HOSTNAME>-p <LDAP_PORT> -D "DS_ADMIN" -w <PASSWORD>- -b dc=<SUFFFIX_DN> uid=<USER_1>
Password for user 'cn=directory manager':
dn: uid=<USER_1>
QandAflag;binary: 1
