What does "low watermark lag" and "high watermark lag" mean in parallel replicat lag command (Doc ID 2746112.1)

Customer is running parallel replicat and on running below lag command, they want to know the definition of low watermark lag & high watermark lag
GGSCI () 2> lag CG1RA

2021-01-06 23:15:15 INFO OGG-14054 Lag from heartbeat table requires DBLOGIN.

Sending GETLAG request to REPLICAT CG1RA ...
Low watermark lag: 8 seconds
High watermark lag: 8 seconds
