This document provides a detailed step-by-step procedure to perform an upgrade on Exalogic Virtual racks running Oct 2020 PSU or higher to This upgrade involves the following high-level steps:

Note: The upgrade involves reimaging of compute nodes to and an upgrade of UEK2 kernel to UEK4 on all OL6-based vServers (including Control vServer and Guest vServers). This procedure does not modify the firmware/software on NM2 switches or ZFS storage appliance from pre-upgrade level.


The upgrade procedure in this MOS Note only applies to Exalogic Virtual racks running October 2020 PSU ( or higher PSU.
