Foreign Keys Removed from Source Table Are Not Removed from ODI Model After Reverse Engineer (Doc ID 2750297.1)

Last updated on AUGUST 31, 2023

Applies to:

Oracle Data Integrator - Version 12.2.1.4.201011 and later
Oracle Data Integrator on Marketplace - Version 12.2.1.4.200123 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

After performing a simple reverse-engineering of a database table in Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) 12.2.1.4, the foreign keys show up as expected in the ODI model. However, when a foreign key is removed from the table on the database, a second ODI reverse-engineer does not remove the foreign key from the ODI model.

It is expected that the reverse-engineer would update the model to represent the table as it is on the database and remove the foreign key.

Changes

This may be experienced after applying Patch 31588251 to the Studio environment.
