Dependency Manager Showing Incorrect Missing Dependencies

(Doc ID 275228.1)

Last updated on SEPTEMBER 15, 2015

Applies to:

Oracle Repository - Version:
This problem can occur on any platform.

SQL parser incorrectly interprets the subquery column as column of parent query's table.
This results in a missing dependency

e.g consider the following query
select count(*)
from emp e
where e.deptno =
( select deptno
from dept
where dname = 'LONDON' );

Post building the dependencies, show dependencies would show that EMP.DNAME is missing
