Symptoms

Configuring the security provider type OracleInternetDirectoryAuthenticator (OID) on the  WebLogic results in the following error :

Steps to replicate:

1. Configure Oracle Internet Directory Authenticator security provider in the WebLogic Administrative console ---> Security ---> myrealm --->New -> OIDAuthenticator provider.

2. Click the newly created OID provider 

3. Enter the information for the OID Host, Port, Username and Password in the provider specific tab

4. Click save.
